The restaurant Groppo is located in the City of Zadar, whose historic defence system is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. On our splendid terrace, right across the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, you can marvel at the scenic view of this largest Dalmatian church and allow it to transport you back in time to the turn of the 13th century, when it was built. The historic stone walls of the cathedral and narrow cobblestone alleys exude an artistic atmosphere. Treat yourself to a luxurious evening at our restaurant, revel in the artistic feel of the city and the past intertwined with the future. Inspired by the cityβs impregnable fortress, a symbol of protection and eternal love for our hometown, we decided to open our own culinary fortress, a symbol of our eternal love for food and hospitality. A knot (groppo in Italian) symbolises our love for fine cuisine that
ties us to our guests forever. The superb quality of the fruits of our labour is like a seashell which opens to disclose a hidden pearl.

Me and my boyfriend decided to have a dinner in this beautiful restaurant to celebrate our engagement. The ambient is adorable... but the food is more than amazing. We eat fish plate and drink home wine. I would recommend this to try. The staff is also excellent, especially Beni which manage with my boyfriend to find the seat which we wanted, seat with a beautiful view on church. I am so satisfied and will come back again.
We ate here twice, both times were equally as good. We tried the meat platter and the fish platter, which were both big in size and excellent quality. The salmon filet was also top-notch. Really good service and cozy atmosphere.
Me and my girlfriend discovered this cozy and lovely place walking down the street of Zadar. The placement is in the center near SantβAnastasia church. The service was realy good also dishes. Fish was great. The bill itβs ok.
